Dallas Cowboys Games Schedule 2016

The Dallas Cowboys Announce Their 2016 Schedule?

The Dallas Cowboys have announced their 2016 schedule, starting the preseason with an August 19th game against the Miami Dolphins, the regular season on September 11th with a match versus the New York Giants, and ending their bye week on January 1st, when they will face the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dallas Cowboys Games Schedule 2016

The schedule seems to be a little bit on the easy side, with only a few matches that may prove to be a challenge for the Cowboys. A December 1st match versus the Minnesota Vikings could be a tough one, considering that the Vikings have won the North division last year. The Pittsburgh Steelers, the only team that has won more Super Bowl championships that the Cowboys (six compared to five trophies the Cowboys have won) could also pose a threat. The Steelers won the Wild Card playoffs last year and should not be taken lightly. Another team that may give the Cowboys a hard time are the Cincinnati Bengals. They have yet to win a Super Bowl, but have won AFC north last year.

Despite being the most valuable sports team in the world according to Forbes (they are worth about four billion dollars), The Cowboys underpeformed last year, finishing only fourth in the East division and failing to qualify for the playoffs. The fans are hoping that things will change this year, as the Cowboys have selected the 4th overall pick in the draft, a running back Ezekiel Elliott. Two years ago, the Cowboys had a very good season, winning the East division and the Wild Card Playoffs against the Detroit Lions, but losing the Divisional Playoffs against the Green Bay Packers. A running back DeMarco Murray, now a Tennessee Titans player, contributed greatly, allowing Tony Romo to have the best season in his career. If all goes well, the power-trio consisting of Elliott, Romo and Dez Bryant could easily help the Cowboys achieve greatness again.
